So......the Experience is no more, Noel quit - got fired, who know's. In preperation for the upcoming woodstock event, Jimi rents a house in Shokan, upstate NY. Jimi brings along with him a bunch of people that he calls "Gypsy, Suns & Rainbows.... nothin' but a Band Of Gypsy's" (we'll get to that show in upcoming days). Anyways, Mitch drums, Billy Cox on base Juma Sultan with percussion Jerry Valez on congas and Larry Lee on guitar. Pretty loose band and not the best showing for Jimi... but here are the rehearsals:

Jimi Hendrix Gypsy Sun and Rainbows (banda con la que Jimi Hendrix se abrió paso en el famoso festival de WOODSTOCK)



Se sabe mucho de la vida del gran JIMI HENDRIX, pero en la etapa de WOODSTOCK donde la banda estaba en trancisión ya que ahora estaba conformada no sólo como trío sino que BILLI COX (amigo de juventud de Jimi, de la época que este estaba haciendo su servicio militar) se instaló en el bajo ocupando el puesto del anterior bajista NOEL REDDING (del trío JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE) ahora tenía en percusiones a Juma Sultan y en las congas a Jerry Velez, en la guitarra al compositor, cantante y guitarra ritmica Larry Lee y a Mitch Mitchell nuevamente en la batería.
